Job Description

Network Specialist Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

– Provide level one support for Global Network related issues via telephone/email/chat for End users
– Monitoring & working on Reported Incidents, Requests
– Monitoring of Cisco core components
– Working with Cisco on TAC cases
– Good knowledge of Cisco Routing Protocols & issue identification, Root cause Analysis
– Level one Administration of Cisco Switches, Routers, AP’s and Voice Gateways
– Maximize Network Performance by Monitoring, troubleshooting problems, scheduling upgrades & collaborating with Network Architects in client environment for optimization
– Route problems to L2 team seated in different parts of the Globe across shifts
– Coordinate and manage relationships with carriers /vendors and local IT staff for PRI issues
– Acts as Tier 1 Service Desk
– Document daily Maintenance activities internal/external environment of the customer in Whiteboard
– CCNA Certification is mandatory
