TechBee – HCL’s Early Career Program is an exclusive job program for individuals looking for full-time jobs after completing A/Ls. Candidates undergo 12-month training for entry-level Tech Engineer jobs. On successful completion of training, candidates are employed in jobs with HCLTech Sri Lanka. While working, candidates can pursue their B.Sc(Hons) / BIT (University of Colombo) with Horizon Campus.
You can start your career with entry-level roles such as Software Engineer, Infrastructure Manager, Analyst, Testing or a Design Engineer at HCLTech Sri Lanka. Upon successful completion of the training, you begin working as a full-time Associate or IT Services professional with a starting salary of LKR 400,000 per annum.
A career path designed to give an early-start advantage to students. In five years’ time, you will have four years of professional IT experience with a global organization and a degree from a prestigious institution.
6 to 9 months
Candidates undergo 6 to 9 months of rigorous classroom training, during which they learn the fundamentals of IT, including programing languages and relevant industry tools, processes, and certifications. The amalgamation of technical training along with communication and personal grooming lessons ensures that TechBee scholars trasform into industry-ready working professionals.
3 to 6 months
The next 3 to 6 months of the program are focused toward On-the-Job Training where candidates work on live projects at HCLTech, and become ready for their full-time roles. Scholars who successfully complete TechBee Program join HCLTech as Engineers.
3 to 4 years
While working as full-time employees at HCLTech Sri Lanka, candidates enroll in work-integrated higher education programs. HCLTech has collaborated with Horizon to offer industry recognized higher education programs, through e-learning curriculums.
Selection into the hiring and training program is on a merit-basis. You will perform a mandatory online examination, and upon successfully passing, would be eligible for the first round of interviews.
We use an exclusive selection process to hire the best and brightest fresh graduates. Each candidate interested in the company will be selected on the grounds of academic track record, passing year, online test scores and other parameters. The needs of the company remain dynamic and flexible, and candidates will be selected as such. Any individuals who meet the required criteria will be contacted personally for the latter rounds of the application process.

The TechBee Program offers IT jobs to A/Ls students. The program prepares candidates for entry level IT jobs with HCLTech. While working at HCLTech, TechBee candidates can pursue higher education. In a country where the perception is that you need a graduate degree for a job, TechBee helps students break away from the rut and start their careers early, in a professional environment, working on clients from Fortune 500. The program sets the foundation for young IT aspirants and gives them a platform to learn and become valued professionals, right after school.
